A party is usually started up with a plate of hot and steamy curried goat or oxtail with rice and peas, soups, roasted or boiled corns, peanuts, and other soulful foods. Once the drinks start to flow (which definitely includes a bottle of Red Stripe beer), and the mellow vibes and laughter take over, the party then becomes a party. Many persons like to show up when the ambiance is established. After the fun is done, so be it. Most people can tell of a very memorable story about a wedding that went wrong, a party where the deejay did not show up, or a birthday without gifts.
